Unexpected Ways To Use Your Snack & Play Travel Tray

You bought your kid a Snack & Play Travel Tray and they love using it in the car, train, and plane.

But did you know there are so many more ways to use your tray?

We’ve found and been told of lots of fun and interesting ways to use the Snack & Play Travel Tray (and 2.0) and we’re excited to share our top five favorite uses with you!

  1. Craft Table

The nylon covering of the Snack & Play Travel Tray and Snack & Play Travel Tray 2.0 make it extremely easy to wash. A wipe down with a damp towel, some disinfecting wipes, or even a hose down depending on how hard you’ve played is all you need! This makes the Snack & Play Travel Tray ideal for messy crafts! Set your child up on the floor of your kitchen with some construction paper, finger paints, washable markers, glue and glitter, whatever he’s into and let his imagination run wild!

  2. Movie Snack Tray

Movie night in our house always means popcorn, candy, and a special drink (my girls like to drink something that goes along with the film we’re watching). This trifecta can cause a huge mess on my living room floor, so we keep it all contained with our Snack & Play Travel Trays now! The girls sit on the floor with a stack of pillows behind them and put their trays on their laps with their snacks, drinks, and cuddly friends. Popcorn kernels and dropped M&Ms don’t get crushed into my carpet, and everyone has a much more positive movie experience.

Bonus: Take your Snack & Play Travel Tray to the movies! The tray will fit over your child’s lap and offer the same benefits as the “floor picnic” during at-home movie night! No more lost snacks or drinks in the dark theater, everything has a place with the Snack & Play Travel Tray!

  3. Distraction While Doing Hair

I’ve got three girls, and that equals a LOT of hair. None of them like to have their hair brushed or done up, so getting them to sit still is a challenge. Enter their Snack & Play Travel Tray and things have been a lot easier! My girls can easily color, read, or play on their tablet while mama gets their hair done with very little complaining – it’s made mornings so much smoother!

  4. High Chair In A Pinch

We’ve all been there: you take the family on a road trip or you’ve been out shopping and you need to stop and feed everyone. That’s all well and good until you pick a place with no high chairs, maybe there are only picnic tables or bar-height chairs. This is not a panic situation when you have your Snack & Play Travel Tray in the car! Your kiddo can sit on a bench, table, or grassy area with his Snack & Play Travel Tray over his lap, or even in a chair with armrests and place the tray over the armrests to create a makeshift high chair! Crisis totally averted, and everyone has a safe, clean surface to eat off of.

  5. Doll Bed

My girls have a lot of baby dolls, and they definitely need a place to sleep! I saw my middle daughter using her Snack & Play Travel Tray 2.0 as a doll bed not too long ago – she had brought it inside from the car to play with and thought the white surface looked like sheets! I loved her imagination and thought it was a fun way to use the Tray when we weren’t on the go. The doll had no complaints about her lodging situation, either.

  1. I love that you talked about using the travel tray for watching movies. I have noticed my kids want snack during a movie, and they spill everything without fail. It would be useful to have a tray to keep the food on. Thanks for the advice!
